Jog-A-Thon:
We run Wednesday morning, September 19, during P.E..  Wear your running shoes and collect those pledges! Go Room 2!

Math Fact Flash Cards:
We’ve been practicing the first +/- flash card sets at school for the past two weeks. We begin the daily 90 Seconds Math Tests on Monday, Sept. 17.

Making Good Choices:
This week we learned more about the vegetable food group. We know that vegetables provide essential vitamins and minerals and are a good source of fiber.  Eating a variety of vegetables everyday helps us have good eyesight, healthy skin and gums, and just helps us have healthier lives.  We also got to each an assortment of vegetable plant parts—roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits…yum!  J

Social Studies:
*We talked about and compared schools—past and present. We had some interesting discussions and ideas.
*We also talked about how we honor our country, the United States of America, by saying the pledge, singing patriotic songs, having 4thof July parades, etc…  We compared our current flag with ones from the 1700s and learned why they are different. We also know what the stars and stripes stand for and painted individual flags.

Parent/Teacher Conference Week: Oct. 1-5:
