Valentine's Day Party:
Thank you, Room 2 families, for helping to make our Valentine's Party so successful! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed passing out Valentines and eating the delicious snacks! J
Marble Party: Friday, February 24, 2017:
Hip, hip, hooray to Room 2 for filling up the Marble Jar again! We are so safe, respectful, and responsible!!! Our class voted to have a “Game Party.” Students may bring one game (checkers, Twister, Trouble, Uno, Don’t Break the Ice, etc…) to play with classmates at the end of the day. (Students have asked about DS and tablet games. That is a family decision.) Games will only come out at designated times in the classroom and need to be games that will be shared/played with others. We are looking forward to a very fun day!
This week we watched a video, read, and talked about Abraham Lincoln. We also did a directed drawing of President Lincoln. The class did a fantastic job! (Next week is George Washington.)
Making Good Choices: Too Good for Violence:
This week we completed our unit on Too Good for Violence. Everyone earned an award for being a “Peaceable Person”—someone who says “I’m sorry,” “Please,” “Thank you,” takes turns, listens, and shares. Way to go, First Graders!
