First Grade Weekly Homework #22:

 Feb. 11-15, 2019

Sight Words:  get, come, may, made, part   (Practice reading words to know them by sight.)

Sounds:  short vowel e sound spelled ea (head, thread, lead, spread…) (Practice these sounds.  Spell and read words with new and past letter sounds.) 

Reading:  First grade student reads aloud to family every day. (About 15 minutes a day.) Students read the story, Tree Frog Sings His Song, answer the questions, and return on Friday.  Read and reread the other stories attached to the second part of the homework. (Keep these attached stories at home.) Family reads aloud to student.  Enjoy your reading time together. J 

Spelling: bedtime, sunset, bathtub, sailboat, flagpole (The test is on Friday, February 15.)

Math:  Practice adding and subtracting facts quickly.  Write numbers 0 to 120.  Review place value—hundreds, tens and ones.  Compare two digit numbers with >, <, and =.

Writing:  Write 3 or more related sentences on a topic of your choice. Check for correct capitalization, punctuation, spacing, and spelling. Include a colorful illustration.
